Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

You are gonna wanna buckle in for this sweet shoot!! Robbie and Aryel opted to do Evelyn's first official shoot at 6 months vs. the traditional newborn session and I have to say, "I love it!" We had an incredible sun-filled morning for our shoot and Aryel chose this creekside location because she loved all the lush green color this recent rainy season has given us. Evelyn was perfect! She was just as happy as could be and be the end of the shoot she was comfortable enough with her surroundings to start sharing some sweet smiles with us. This was truly a fun shoot to be a part of! Who doesn't love the joy of a new family!! Congratulations to you both!!

Family Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

As a photographer, I have had my family's pictures taken twice in 20 years! NOT GOOD! I have faithfully taken pictures of my kids every year but neglected to take photos of my husband and myself. I never thought much of it because I knew I was documenting the lives of my kids until... my own parents passed away. In the months that followed I was desperate for photos of my parents and photos of me with them. This is what prompted the family photos I took with my family most recently. To be honest it will be two years ago come fall. It's easy to forget about the importance of having your pictures taken, but there will come a day when you really will wish you had taken the time.
Are you due for some updated photos? Email me at cija@3wishesphotography.com to be more information about booking your own session.

Castle Rock Photographer

We went back to this couple's wedding venue for their family photos! It's always a little unnerving to go shot at a location where you have never been before. You just hope and pray that the backdrops and the sun all work together, but location did not disappoint. But the best part about this shoot was Harper! She brought all the cuteness - no direction needed she was just magic!

Keep in mind summer is the best time to take photos with young kids. The warmer temperatures really help when it comes to having happy kiddos! The mornings are warm in the summer as well, so having your photos early in the day, when everyone's feeling chipper is an option as well.

Castle Rock Photographer - Questions about Senior Photos Answered

Do you have a graduating senior in the house? Have questions about senior photos? Let me see if I can help.

Do I have to have my senior's photos taken by an outside photographer? No, your school will provide an in-house photo day to have your senior's headshot taken for the yearbook.

If I decide to use my own photographer can one of the photos from their session be used in yearbook? Depends on the school, used to be that most schools would accept photo from outside photographers but more and more high schools are wanting a single source for all the yearbook photos.

Do I have to pick from the photographers listed in the school information? No, those photographers pay a fee to be identified as a "preferred photographer", you can use any photographer you would like.

What if they require that the yearbook photo be taken by a specific photographer, do I have to use them for all my photos? No, you can ask that they just take the yearbook image and you can book a separate session for the photo you want to use in your home.

When do I need to schedule my shoot? If you will using a yearbook photo from your session, you will need to have the photos taken prior to the yearbook submission deadline, which can range from mid-sep to mid-nov. So, senior photos are generally taken the summer between the junior and senior year. BUT, book early as good photographers book quickly. If you don't need to submit a photo from your shoot for the yearbook, you can have your photos done anytime during your senior year.

How much should I expect to pay for senior pictures? A good photographer can be anywhere from $600 on the low-end to $2000 on the high-end. The low range photographers will typically include digital images with a print release, while the more expensive photographers will offer in-person sales where you pick the images you want printed and the sizes you want and the photographer will have them printed on your behalf. The in person sales eliminates the hassle of ordering your own images, but the digital product that you print yourself can save you a lot of money.
