Baby Photographer in Littleton, CO

Have you every felt like you should have just left well enough alone?  I know just enough about "techy stuff" to mess everything up!  Yesterday I got a wild hair about my blog.  The problem?  When I upload the pictures they look soft, sort of mushy, me no likey.  So, I set up to solve the problem... oiy! That was a mistake!  By the time Rod got home, I was in tears... yes, over my blog. I had made a mess of it and couldn't get to back to the way it was, because they have updated it since I originally did it and don't have the old template I was using anymore.
I desperately tried to compensate with fonts gone wild... I could tell by the "fraction of an instant expression" on my husband's face  (ya know the one before he remembers that he is dealing with a female) that he agreed... things had gone terrible wrong.
He spent a few minutes trying to rescue me out of "Fontville" and then dragged me away from my computer and out the front door for "date night".  Unfortunately, I was still licking my wounds from the fight I had just had with my blog.  Rod had planned a picnic, all I had to do was pick the restaurant for take out.  He gave me 3 choices, all wonderful and I cried; to stressed and overwhelmed to face the smallest of decisions.  Rod was my Hero...  he didn't get frustrated or angry he just held my hand and picked a restaurant.
It was clear that I needed to get a grip... this was not a big deal, not even a small deal.  There are thousands of families who lost their homes and hundreds who lost precious family members this past week and I am crying over a blog gone bad.  So, I took a few deep breathes, changed the subject and let all the blessings of the evening be my focus.
To my husband... Thank you.  Thank you for a wonderful evening of good food, breath taking views, great conversation and for being so gentle with my oh so girly and over reacting heart.

Now, on to this lovely little lady... Lilly!!  Lilly is 1 year old.  She brought her mom and dad along... which was actually pretty handy.  Dad was the perfect "sun blocker"!  He had some mad skills too, as she moved he moved, I didn't even have to coach him.  Way to go, Lance!

Lilly was very curious about her surroundings.  In the picture below she was checking out a couple of very bold geese that were coming over for a visit. Kerri (Lilly's mom) seemed a little leery about the friendly fowl...  but Lance came to our rescue and made sure they only came so far.
So... favorite of the day (hmmm... I haven't done this in a while)?  I have to do with the walking/back shot... I LOVE it!  2nd place would go to the first picture posted, so sweet.
Oh! Did I mention Lilly and Charlie (you remember, Charlie) are day care buddies!  How cool is that?!
Well, I am off to spend the weekend with my peeps.  See you on the over side of the weekend. Cija
By the way, I never did fix the "soft" appearance of the pictures, grrrr!  But you can always double click on them to see them better.  Okay, I am letting it go now!!

Child Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Meet Miss Paisley... isn't she positively perfect!  With those pudgy puddin' cheeks
and that precious pretty smile!

Paisley lives in Arizona but when her parents come to town to visit family they always pay me a visit for photos (lucky me!).  This was my first time to meet Paisley, but I have had the privilege of photographing her older and equally handsome brother since he was born.

Taylor (mommy) mentioned that Paisley was a little out of her comfort zone and not as smiley as she usually is...  I can't even imagine!  She was just smilin' left and right!

Oh man... I just love her little tongue stickin' out in the picture above!  She made so my cute little faces, I had the hardest time picking my favorites!
Can you believe it's Memorial Day Weekend?  I hope you all have fun plans with friends and family to rest up and relax!! I think we will be working around the house, getting ready for some wonderful friends who are coming for an extended stay.  Well, I gotta run...  Lilly's mama is waiting to see her sneak peek too!
(remember you can double click on any image to see it in a "clearer" and larger format!)
Until next time! Cija

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!!  Now, I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday, covered head to toe is CAKE!!  (easy, Dawn!!)

Jacob invited me over to his place to gets some pics of him chillin' at home on his birthday.  The nifty Frog chair just happens to be one of his birthday treasures.  Miss Melia had an Elephant she was the same age... in fact we still have the elephant up in the playroom.

Couldn't ya just squeeze him!  I mean, look at that smile!
Jacob is always so happy and such a joy to be around.

Oh man, the foot covered in frosting was just killin' me!!  I mean, I already have a hard time resisting the temptation to nibble on those toes, but covered in frosting!!!  That's just too much!

Now that's a fun way to spend a morning!

My heart goes out to the people who have suffered such great loss as a result of the recent severe weather.  My prayer is for peace, comfort and restoration for these hurting families.

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.  He stilled the storm to a whisper; the wave of the sea were hushed.  They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.  Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love... Psalms 107:28-31a

Bridal Photography in Castle Rock, CO

Yep, this is all I can show you from my shoot with Abby.  We spent the whole afternoon at the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel taking her Formal Bridal Portraits, but... since the dress is a surprise the photos are being vaulted up until after the wedding on June 18th.  Somebody help me!!!  This is pure torture!  I threatened to hold off loading her gallery for a couple of weeks, so that she can share my pain.
I mean, who likes to suffer alone!

Holy Moly! Did she get the attention!!  Well, she did look absolutely STUNNING!!  She literally took one man's breath away; Willy, he couldn't help but come over and shake her hand and one little guy even snuck in for a quick picture with the beautiful bride!
An older gentleman, decided he would snap a few shots of his own!

I have actually known Abby since she was 7 years old.  She was in my Sunday School class when she was in the 2nd grade.  A few years later I got to know her mom through a Sunday afternoon prayer group, and over the years they have become precious dear friends.  I am looking very forward to photographing Sam and Abby's very special day.
So... check back the evening of 6/18 to see her fabulous shots from today's super fun shoot! Cija

Boudoir Photography in Castle Rock, CO

NOTE: While I offer full service Boudoir photography I do not post any of my "more delicate" work in this public forum, to see a private boudoir gallery please contact me at cija@3wishesphotography.com.

Happy Hump Day!  Today I had so much fun with Marybeth!  She did a Boudoir shoot as a Father's Day gift for her husband.  I do believe his is going to be one happy daddy!  I do all of my Boudoir shoots indoors for obvious reasons, often times, folks will choose to come here for their shoot but on occasion I get invited to come to their homes for their shoot and today was one of those days.  Marybeth's husband has a very cool and very big Harley Davidson which we got to use in part of our shoot.  My favorite part was that Marybeth proved herself to be quite resourceful.  As I am a natural light photographer a garage can come with more than a few obstacles, but she found a way to make it work.  When I arrived I knew exactly where I was going, it was the only house on the block with white sheets hanging in the garage door opening!! Genius!  The rest of the shoot was done in her shabby chic bedroom which made for a perfectly romantic backdrop.
Well, I must be off, the cherubs are home from school and running a muck, I must offer some assistance in channeling the energy!  If the rains goes away, tomorrow,  I will be with a little one celebrating 1 year!
Have a fabulous evening, until next time! Cija

Family Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado

Last night I met up with a fabulous family, 4 generations worth!
Katie & her husband (above) came to see me the first time almost a year ago when Kylie was born.

Kim and Phil called me for the first time last fall, I was seriously coveting Kayla's beautiful long hair, absolutely GEE-OR-GUS!
Today's shoot was a mother's day gift for Kim and Katie's mom.
It was perfect because Kim and Katie's brother was in town for a visit, which meant they would be able to get a family picture complete with Great Grandma and baby Liam.
Well, it seems that it's already that time of the day.  Time to go get the girlies at school, they will be bouncing off the ceiling because today was Field Day following by a Full Length Family Feature (per Mrs. Meek's), add to that it's Date Night with the girls.  I wonder what Sabrina has planned for us.

The rest of the week will be a busy one, if the weather cooperates... Boudoir session tomorrow, 1st birthday on Thursday, Kiddos on Friday and a Bridal formals on Saturday.  So I'll see you again soon! Cija

Trulia - Ribbon Cutting with Governor Hickenlooper

This afternoon I got to do something a little different.  One of my wonderful clients asked me to come and document her company's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.  Trulia is a residential real estate search engine.

Their offices were very hip and trendy.
The official grand opening of the Denver office even caught the attention of Governor Hickenlooper.

Pete Flint (Co-Founder), Georg Gerstenfeld (VP, Business Services) and Connie Howard (Sales Director) took the Governor for a tour of their new offices.

The ceremony was followed by a dessert buffet, unfortunately the Governor had to leave but I bet he was secretly wishin' he could have a  piece of this yummy looking dessert!

Well, all in all, I had a great time!  It was fun to do something so different.  But for now, I must sign off and head out to meet up with Kim & Katie for their family shoot.  Until next time. Cija
