Baby Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

It's hard to believe Miss Madeline is already 1!  Oh man, these Milestone Babies take a toll on me!!  I get to watch them grow up over that first year and then I don't get to see them as often : ( .
 Makes me very sad...

While she's not walking yet, she does have a killer Mogli crawl!!  It was awesome and yes, I did get a picture of it!

Check out that HAIR!!!  I love it!!
And of course the piggies!!!  They are my most favoritest part!!
I think this one is my fave of the day.  I can't put my finger on it... it just makes me smile.

Things are getting a little cah-razy starting tomorrow morning, 3 shoots tomorrow with a wedding and family session on Saturday.  So I will be back when I can, I still want to do a special VBS post, but I don't know exactly when I will be able to fit it in, so just stay tuned!

So now, I am going to steal a few minutes of quiet while the girls are occupied!!
Until next time. Cija

Children's Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Well, we have made it to Wednesday!!  This week is VBS at our church and all the fun is taking it's toll on my 3 little girlies, it's 2:00 in the afternoon and they are all crashed out on the couch!  I have been taking pictures all week, so a special VBS installment is forthcoming!
Last night Kylie and I hung out in downtown Castlerock, she was rockin' her tye-dye and sparkly flip flops for sure!  I always enjoy my time with Kylie!  (Her parents are pretty cool too!)
Well, I'm keeping it short, lost of stuff going on this this week, so I must keep up the pace!  See you tomorrow!! Cija

High School Senior Photography

Last night I met up with Steven, a 2012 Senior at Legend High School in Parker.  He is actually part of the first graduating class at Legend.  His plans after highschool include college... at either CU or CSU where he plans to get either a civil or mechanical engineering degree.  He wants to make stuff and be hugely successful!!  Sounds like a good plan to me!

Fortunately for me, last night's shoot included someone with short hair!!!  it was pretty windy out there with a storm brewing over head but we made it through!!

Well... I must be off.  There are orders to be filled and kiddos who want to go swimming!  Until next time. Cija

One "Special" Event

Last night I went over to Diane's house for One "Special" Event celebrating her daughter's recent marriage to Wayne, her 30th birthday and a send off as Lindsey and Wayne move out of the country to England!!
Diane is obviously my kinda gal!!  All the little details were to die for!!  Vibrant colors and special touches in every direction!
The happy couple and I snuck off for a couple of minutes to snap a few pictures of just the two of them.
And get a look at the food!!!  Almost too pretty to eat! (A little shout out to Sandy and Kate from "As You Like It" the caterers for the evenings event!)

All in all it was a lovely way to spend the evening!  Best wishes to Lindsey and Wayne!!
It's gonna be a busy week, so check back often to see what I have been up too!!!
For now, I am off to the grocery store and then off for my first Senior shoot of the season!

In the Name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit

This afternoon my future nephew-in-law was baptized!!  It was the exclamation mark on the end of an incredible journey and the beginning of another.  A little over 14 months ago, my niece, Crystal, started to fall for the man who would be her husband.  I remember sitting in Chipolte with Crystal when she expressed her feelings for him were stronger that even she could understand.  That day was the day that we began praying for Scott.  In the months that followed we stood in awe as we watched the God of the Universe, the Creator of everything, chase after the heart of the man, who had captured Crystal's heart.   Today as I stood and watched this man make an outward declaration that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior, I gave praise to God in Heaven for a love so great, so personal, and so unbelievable.  We love you, Scott!!!
The celebration was kicked off with a little music.
Pastor Brian explained the meaning and importance of baptism.

Then is was time... Pastor Brian assured everyone that he had baptized someone as tall as Scott before, but called for the spectators to be "ready" just incase he couldn't get him up!!
 It was a snug fit!!

The end.

Newborn Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado

Oh man!!!  Does it smell yummy in here!  Matt is making dinner tonight (WooHoo!!  I'm gonna love having roomates!)  We are having enchilada casserole, mexican beans and Aimee made home made spanish rice!  But while the finishing touches are being put on dinner I thought I would share a few shots from my session with Miss Mckenna (sorry if I spelled that wrong...).  She will be 3 weeks old on Sunday.  Isn't she precious!

It was really fun to do a newborn shoot outside, I could get used to that!  But even with as warm as it was she was still looking for a blanket to keep her cozy!
Well, I am off to enjoy the weekend, date night with the hubby tonight.

On a another note, I would ask that you would be praying for my great niece (on my husband's side), she was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, she and her parents need our prayers.
Thanks so much!!

Family Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Good Morning!!!  Well it was until a whacked my head on the Armoire.... YOUCH!!  I only have a minute, I am headed out the door to meet a precious little newborn girlie at the park, my very first outdoor newborn shoot, I am so excited!!!  But I wanted you all to get a little glimpse of my time last night spent with the McCandless family.
This beauty is Cheyenne and she is 3 years old, I just love, love, love her hair, I would trade with her in a hot second!  She is such a sweet whimsical child.
And this handsome young man is Brandon, I was totally diggin' his beachy style!!
So laid back and cool.

Okay, two favorites, the one above and the one below.  Above, I love the laughter between a boy and his dad, just precious!  Then the one below... well, when a boy has go a boy has to go!!!  (I hope the blog show the detail this photo deserves).

Okay, the one above is another fave!  I think it total shows the two different personality types of these kiddos, Cheyenne is all kriss kross and kute while Brandon is laid back and thoughtful!!

Okay, the one above cracked me up.  I have heard a lot of kids say "cheese" to get them to smile but Cheyenne was clearly not in the smiling mood at this point and she was sitting on the rock saying "Happy Cheese. Happy Cheese." Over and over again!!

I enjoyed my time with this wonderful family very much!!! (Oh the black furry member of the family is Bella, she liked jumping in the lake very much!)

Oh! Big news!  I don't think I have shared this with you yet.  We have new housemates.  Matt, Aimee, Matthew, Isabel and Mia (oh and Zeus and Baxtor too!).  We are so excited to have our dear friends shakin' up with us!!  That brings the house totals to 4 Adults, 6 kids, 3 dogs and a rabbit!!! It's sure to be a FUN and exciting summer!!
Okay, I am off!  Cija
