Senior Pictures in Castle Rock, CO

Well, we did it, the first day of school is done and we got thru everything and stayed on scheduled (thank you, Kashia!!)  Now tomorrow will be another test, we add harp lessons and horse back riding to the mix, but I am feeling confident!! Can you believe the girls are going to learn how to play the harp?!?!? I am soooo excited.
Now it is time for them to play and for me to get some work done before I crank out some dinner and then jet off to another senior shoot.
So Friday night I was with Madison (and a couple of her friend's that came along as makeshift closet makers and wardrobe advisors)!
So true story… when I took the picture above a SNAKE slithered by and Madison didn't even flinch!! She just sat there and was like "Oh it's okay."  WHAT!?!?  Okay???? It is NOT okay!  but I tried to act all cool too… now, if that would have been a spider, forget it! I would have hightailed it out of there and she would have been all like "Ummm…. where did she go?!?!"
So the Red Wall in Castle Rock is now a Blue Wall… what do you think???  I have not decided, I love it here, but I am not sure I will always love it, and I always loved the red wall.
Madison was hoping for some creek side photos, I aim to please.
(Man, I wish I looked like this sitting by a creek!)

Now the end of the shoot was my favorite.
No Snakes.
Beautiful lighting.
and
Red Lips!  I love red lips!! They LOOK SOOOO AMAZING!!
Love love love these pictures with the twirly iron stuff. Yes, that is very technical talk. My mom would have some fancy word, she always has fancy words for ordinary things like:
Davenport = couch
Hassock = footstool
It was very confusing as a child.

Once again, I got serenaded on this shoot.
(Little secret, I always let them play longer than they actually need too!!)

Well, dinner time is fast approaching!!  I am off!

Maternity Photography in Castle Rock, CO

Oh my goodness!! What a busy weekend! Only one more hour left and it will be officially Monday! And I am hoping to sneak in one more sneak peek before it's off to bed (I don't know if I will make it…  the yawns are starting to come fast and furious.)
So… let's start at the very beginning.
Early Friday morning I met up with Molly and her boys, hubby - Patrick and son - Ben, to take some belly shots before baby #2 makes their big debut!

All this rain has made the grass and other green growing things a little crazy!!
The paths thru this park were completely over grown with tangled foliage!
I felt like I needed a mashedi!!
And the dew is in full swing!  I was soaked!
But… it was beautiful and that is all that matters.

And Ben was positively entertaining!  Man! Does this kid know about cars!
I was very impressed.
For those of you who are curious, he would like a white porsche when he turns 16.

Molly was glowing!!  Baby is due at the end of this month! So stay tuned for newborn pictures!

Well, I think I am going to have to give up.. my eyes are crossing and tomorrow is our first day of school!!

So, nighty night.

Senior Pictures in Castle Rock, CO

Just dropping in for a quick sneak peek of my shoot with Austin last night.

Does he have the total model vibe or what??? Especially with his "serious face".
Austin is a 2015 Senior at Rock Canyon high school and while he is not sure about his specific career aspirations, he is toying with a business degree.
Well… I can't dilly dally today, there is much to do in between my two shoots today, but I wanted to get this sneak peek up for Brenda (Austin's mom).
I won't be back until next week… oh my goodness, next week!!!
Full shoot schedule, school starts, leadership retreat and family in town for a visit!

Holy moly!!!
Austin, you did a great job!!! Have a fabulous senior year!!

Photographer for Senior Pictures in Castle Rock, CO

I am not entirely sure that I should be blogging right now.  I am a wee bit cranky.
I had to go down to the basement today… big mistake… HUGE!
You see my kids play down there, with boundaries and guidelines of what they can play with and what they can not.
Let's just say the boundaries have been thrown out the window!
WHAT A MESS!!! and my very favorite Starbucks cup… broken : (
So in the best interest of our relationship, they are downstairs cleaning and I am upstairs… working.
This is Chase (oh and his sister, came along and snuck in a shot or two) he is a 2015 senior from Arapahoe High School (a lot of Arapahoe students this year).  Now here's a funny fact, I live in Castle Rock, work primarily in Castle Rock and I don't thing I have had one Castle View or Douglas County senior this year.  How funky is that?

Now, I gotta be honest… the whole family came along for this shoot so I didn't really have a chance to chit chat with Chase and find out what his plans are for next year. Hmmm… but I am curious.
I do know that he does participate in cross country and swimming at school, thus the two different sports jackets.  No really they are different!
True Colorado weather for this shoot, it was bright and sunshiny when we started but by the time we finished it was starting to rain.  Even got to see a very cool double rainbow on the way home.
Now, did a mention that Chase is my friend, Staci's son?  We serve together in women's ministry at church and she is one of the nicest people I know.  She's like a fresh baked cookie on a winter's night.
Her heart is so tender, she even cried during our shoot together… I love that!
Okay, until next time. Cija

Senior Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Time for another peek!

Today… it's Klarissa, Oh! and Thumper too!!
Isn't that a nice bunny rabbit!!
Klarissa is a 2015 Senior at Arapahoe High School.

She commented that she needed an old fashion telephone to go with this vintage outfit, I agree!
She had one request… a close up, black and white with her eyes blue.
DONE! Beautiful!

I feel for Klarissa and her mom, I have no idea how they are going to choose Klarissa's photos, but I had a hard time picking one's for this post!!!
She looks positively stunning in every single picture!!
The cloudy dark skies made for a very beautiful background!!
Yep!  Another fabulous senior shoot!!  I had the best time ever!!
Now I am off… to the next one!
until next time.
