Children's Photographer in Parker, Colorado

This morning, Melia and I headed out to meet Molly and Isaac.
Isaac was due for some 3 year old pictures.
My oh my, was it a beautiful morning and Isaac did such an amazing job!!
He was a big fan of this T-Bird (at least I think it's a T-Bird)
I was pretty excited that we didn't see any snakes.  That was not the case yesterday when we scouted this location and then last night April had a horrible video on her Facebook page… a den of rattlesnakes in the middle of this high grass, just the kind that I traipses thru all the time!!
I was a wee bit unnerved!

Our shoot was not completely with out incident, while making our way down to the creek, my foot began to slip sideways on some wet glass and then it happened. POP! my flip flop broke (insert very sad face here).  This is not exactly the best time to have to purchase a new pair of flip flops. I am trying not to dwell on it.
A boy, A stick, A stream
pretty much boy heaven!!!
He was even so brave as to dare the icy waters barefoot. ( I can attest to their iciness!)
My feet are still cold!
Just another beautiful Colorado shoot!!!

Family Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Time for another sneak peek.  Nick and Molly have been coming to me for photos since Keeley was a newborn.  I feel so blessed to be chosen over and over again to take their family photos.
And on several occasions the whole family has come out too!
Molly's mom and dad and...
her brother, Zach's growing family
(this year they had a brand new family member, just two months old, Benji.)
and of course… Lilly!!  Molly's 96 year old grandma!!
Love this picture of her surrounded by her great grandkids…
Wow! What a precious blessing for them all!
One photo on the agenda was the family christmas card, but having 5 kids under 4 can make things a bit interesting at times!! Well… at least Nick, Lilly and Larry were photo ready!!
Look at that!!  I did manage to get one!

Lilly with her greats and her grands!! (My mom is going to be a great grandma in April, so excited!!)

Oh Kensington!!!  You are so stinkin' adorable!!!
I love that face!

I think we took this last picture mostly for ourselves.  Just to have one simply "stand, smile, shoot".
Some shoots are an adventure but this one was a pleasure!

Lifestyle Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Yep! It's me. I am back… Again.
Two times in one night.
It couldn't be help.
I was just too excited about this shoot not to post it… IMMEDIATELY!
What is this? You say.  Well… in a word.  "Genius"!!
I touched bases with Melanie on Tuesday to find out where she wanted to go for her family pics.  Turns out the hubby had to go out of town and it was going to be raining, so we went with Plan B.
Pictures at her house of the kids making cookies.

Initial reactions went from excitement to panic and back again.
I have shot indoors before, but it's a baby sleeping in a basket, not multiple people moving in a kitchen and it's generally morning with lots of yummy sunshine pouring in the windows, not simply pouring.
Then there were the space concerns and shooting with with portrait lenses.  Stress mounting.
But when she emailed me pictures of the house with light reflecting walls and windows all about… well, I was in!  This had to be done.
I am so glad I did it!  It was so much fun!!
And I think I only freaked her out for a few minutes when I carried my camera into the house in a recycled plastic shopping bag!! (I'm sorry… I am just not a camera bag kind girl. Photographers all over the world are shaking their heads in shame at me, but then again, I would venture a guess it's not the first time, nor will it be the last. I don't use lens caps either!! GASP!!)
I was somewhat relieved to find out that Melanie is a designer by trade… her house is gorgeous and magazine picture perfect, knowing that she is a professional eased my feelings of shame over my taped together lampshade.

Turned out that "All" the family members wanted to get in on the action!
I mean, who doesn't like a little cookie dough!
Loved every minute of this shoot.
Loved this family too!

Ah… what a fabulous rainy fall day.  I have enjoyed the moodiness of the day so much! and am looking forward to tucking in for the night, cozy blanket maybe a movie with my hubby, sounds fabulous!
But first we most rewind to earlier this week when I met up with Martha and her beautiful family.
It was another perfect Colorado fall evening.

Ha! Love this picture of Mitch and Max, I mean Matt!
And Martha with her lovelies. LOVE.

Okay… I love the photo below, they were trying to think of something "to do" when mom suggested that they touch noses, but this wasn't exactly what she had in mind!!
Okay, the peeps are staring at me, wondering when dinner is going to happen, so that is my queue to wrap this up! Until next time!!

Baby Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Just take a look at this little pumpkin!
Miss Aubrey is already 3 months old!!

Now to be honest, she was not at all thrilled to be taking pictures and it took a little while for her to warm up to the idea.  But that was fine it give me an opportunity to chat with her grandma, who is visiting from Kentucky.

But after something tasty to eat, Aubrey was ready to go!
and she did a fabulous job!!
I think, maybe, the one below is my favorite of the day.  It's just cozy and peaceful and make me want to grab a good book and curl up in the corner of the couch and get lost for a couple of hours.
 Oh my goodness, that face!!
Just chill in', kicking back enjoying the fall weather.
Ah… this is the life!
Photo op with Nanaw (I hope I spelt that right!) and mommy!
ah, what a fun shoot!! I love me some babies!
