Engagement Photography In Castle Rock, CO

Okay there will be no dilly dallying today.  My sister is dying to see this pictures of her very beautiful daughter and future son-in-law.  Yep, this is my niece Crystal and her fiance' Scott.  We went downtown yesterday to take their engagement pictures, I don't know about them but I had a grand old time!  So much fun!

 It's my great pleasure to introduce Pearce, this sweet little boy is 6 month old.  I just love the name Pearce, reminds me of Remington Steele and my crush on Peirce Brosnan.  Oh the memories... my favorite episode was when her house had burned down and he was playing the piano, makes me swoon just thinking about.  (the really frightening thing is, a large percent of my friends will have no idea what "Remington Steele" is)

 I have a feeling this little Pearce will have a number of girls crushin' after him too, what a dreamy little baby.

 Today's shoot was at Pearce's home which is always fun, but it was just warm enough that we were able to sneak in a few outdoor shots as well.

 I am having trouble picking my fave of the day.  I just love his precious little expressions and the one above makes me just want to squeeze his little cuteness! 

 How cool is that blue couch? Very cool! 

 Now these two, the one above and below might just be my faves.  I love the one above with his little giraffe (my on my that giraffe is really popular these days with the wee folk)  It's the kind of picture that will transport mom and dad right back to this time in their little boy's life. The one below, well... this is my heart, I love capturing real moments, mommy is singing "if your happy and you know it" and daddy is bouncing baby up and down, I love it!

Children's Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Doesn't it just chap your hide (did I really just say "chap your hide"?) when you could sleep in but you can't sleep? 6:00 AM on a Saturday morning?  I mean seriously! I am just so excited about my shoots today, 1st a 6 month old (too much fun) and then this afternoon I will be with my niece and her fiance' for engagement pictures! (by the way, I am going to try and make it through this whole entry only using single exclamation marks... it will be very trying for me by the way, I mean most of what I say deserves more than just one lonely exclamation mark.  Ya know and now that I think about it who decided that it was okay to make the multi-exclamation mark person feel guilty for using more than one exclamation mark?  That is just redonkulous if I wanna use more than one exclamation mark I gonna do it! and the person who put the EM restriction out there, well... he can just... lump it!! (yep, lump it... that is the best I could do.)

So what did you think of yesterday's weather?  I mention it because I had a family shoot scheduled, at first it was blue skies beautiful, then I went to lunch with my gal pals (Amity and Courtne) and it was pelleting, not snowing, pelleting or maybe we should call it spelleting.  By the time I got home, I had 2 inches of snow on the ground. Back and forth we went trying to decide if we should risk the shoot with the weather. Sunny, cloudy, snowing, sunny, cloudy, snowing, sunny... driving Cija cah-razy!  In the end we rescheduled for next week, no doubt we will have a blizzard.

Now on to this little guy, isn't he a handsome boy?  So his mom told me that they had been practicing, saying "Cheese!", but every time Brock would say "Cheese" he would put this cute little finger up in the air, as if he were saying he was 1.  Every time! With out fail,  I would be snapping away, mom would say "say Cheese!", he would say "Cheese" and his little finger would come up.  Cracked me up! Now the real kicker was at the end of the shoot, she wanted to get a few pics of Brock in a NASA outfit that Grandma has sent.  He was starting to get a little tired of pictures so mom pulled out the famous "If you take a few more good pictures then...".  I hear this alot: "mommy will give you a piece of candy" or "we'll go to McDonald's", or "we'll go get ice cream" or "mommy will let you pick out a toy at the store"; but never before had I heard this one.  "Brock, you did such a good job do you want to go get ice cream or a carwash?"

"Caahwash."

WHAT?  What did he just say? I couldn't believe it he must have misunderstood the question, so she asked again just to prove it to me... "Caahwash"!  The boy wanted a carwash over icecream!!

 "Cheese."

Infant Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado

Some of my most special shoots have been the one's that God lays on my heart.  Since the start of my business, it has been my heart's deepest desire that God would be able to use it in some small way to bless others.  Over the last two and half years I have had the honor to photograph children and adults who were in the midst of a fight whether it was with cancer or severe injuries.  Yesterday, I had pleasure of photographing Zechariah, who made his debute 6 weeks early. Friends of a friend, I had never met Zach's parents but could relate to having a baby early and having to make multiple daily visits to the hospital for several weeks.  I offered to come to the hospital to take photos of this precious little boy but with multiple setbacks we decided it would be best to let him concentrate on getting well enough to come home.  Zach was able to come home about a week ago, today is Zach's orginal due date and today Zach is 6 weeks old!!   Enjoy!

Children's Photographer in Parker, CO

 Yesterday, I had a cowboy/cowgirl themed shoot with Autumn and Grant.  Man was is a beautiful day! (I won't mention the _ _ _ _!!)  Grant is 4 "He was 3 a long time ago!" and Autumn will be 6 the end of April.

 I just loved their outfits!!  I seriously need to get my girls some pink cowboy boots! (esp. since they go to school in "ranchville".

 Okay the one above and the one below are my faves for the day.  I think Autumn looks so precious looking off in the distance and then Grant below, oh my goodness!  He looks like a real life cowboy, tired after a long day of... hmm... wrangling?  wrestling? herding? (apparently I need to brush up on my cowboy facts).

 How funny is that?  I loved the way his hat was so low it covered his eyes.  (Grant was so sweet, he even invited me to join them for dinner after our shoot).

Phew!! I posted a lot of pictures, I was having a very hard time deciding!
