Maternity Photography in Parker, CO

So yesterday, I did these belly shots with Randy and Tammy... and today Tammy was scheduled to have a C-Section! So by the time she sees these pictures her new baby will be here! They decided to wait until the baby was born to find out what they are having... I never seem to get a vibe as to whether it's a boy or a girl, but this time I think it's a boy! Now we will just have to wait and see if I am right. So... have you ever seen the movie "Rolling Stone"? Tammy was hoping to recreate a photo from the movie but I have never seen the movie, but we did our best. Well, it's almost time to pick up the kiddos from school, so I am off! Until next time! Cija

Senior Pictures in Castle Rock, Colorado

Imagine my surprise when I realized that I had one more senior session on Monday night!! I was down right giddy! So... this is Shelby, soccer player extraordinary! You would never know it by these pictures but Shelby is recovering from knee surgery, and can't put any weight on her leg!! This girl was crazy! Cruising around on crutches and jumping one legged from here to there, she was givin' me a heart attack! So sometimes, girls find themselves in challenging situations when they want to change their outfits and we are out in the middle of a park with a whole bunch of other Seniors having their pictures taken, but Shelby's mom was prepared! I am kicking myself that I didn't snap a picture to show you the HUGE rainbow umbrella that she brought along! It was gi-normous! But quite effective! So, way to go Wanda! Shelby's best friend Anna joined for the shoot as well and it was fun to get a few photos of the two girls together! Enjoy! Cija

I am so excited! My in home shoots are really starting to catch on! I just knew that doing maternity and newborn shoot in the person's own home would be FABULOUS! It creates such a personal feel to these special moments. Yesterday afternoon, I was with Jacklyn and her husband Art. We did a mix of family casual pictures in their family room and then headed up to the bedroom for some more intimate shots. This is Jacklyn's 4th baby and while Art knows if it's a boy or a girl, Jacklyn is going to wait until the baby is born to find out! They already have 2 boys and 1 girl, so... what do you think it will be?
Well, I am off to another maternity shoot! Be back in a few! Cija

Family Photographer in Castle Rock

Last night I met up with the Strickler Family. Mark's parents were visiting from Oregon and it was the perfect opportunity to get a picture of the whole family together. I met Angela a few years back, when our daughter's took dance lessons together, so cute in their little tutus! It's been a busy day with multiple shoots, carpool and physical therapy for my mom, so I am going to take my little self to bed and try it again tomorrow. I hope you all have a very good night's sleep. Nighty night all! Hugs, Cija

I do...

Well, It's official, I have now photographed 2 weddings. Now, it's decision time... to do weddings or to not do weddings. I'm torn, parts of the wedding photography, I LOVE!!! It is right up my alley, other parts not so much, but do the parts I love out weigh the parts I don't, hmmm... I will have to ponder this for a while. Meet Carrie & Aaron, I had soooo much fun shooting this wedding! The location was stunning, the bride and groom were stunning everything was stunning!
I was in love with Carrie's bling! She had the most beautiful dress, simple and elegant. Lovely...
Okay, I am officially the biggest fan of the "first look", Carrie and Aaron had mercy on the photographer and agreed to having most of their photos done prior to the wedding (which allows for some many more photo opportunities). So we staged the "first look" moment and it was absolutely precious.

Carrie hid behind this wall and reach for Aaron's hand and then he pulled her around the wall to have a look at her... this moment between the two of them was just magical.
They hugged, kissed, looked, giggled and then kissed some more.

The wedding was held in a beautiful vacation home in Silverthorne, CO.

We had plenty of time to walk all over the grounds and photograph Carrie and Aaron as a couple. It was such a good time, I could have stayed out there with them all the live long day.
The wedding party, Aaron's brothers, Carrie's sister and best friend.
Carrie with her sister, Cris.

There was even some time for kickin' back and relaxin' before the ceremony.

Okay I love this picture of Carrie touching up her make up!

Time for the Ceremony...

My prayer for Carrie and Aaron is that they will always take time to pray as a couple.

They were giving me their best "Charlie's Angel" pose...

I hope you enjoyed this small peek into Carrie and Aaron's beautiful wedding. Hugs! Cija
