Just dropping in to show you a little peek of my newborn shoot with C. last week. What a contented baby!  I didn't hear one peep out of her. She just went with the flow, no matter what we were doing. 

I prefer to call my newborn sessions "Snuggle Sessions" because the baby is usually held through the entire shoot. During this shoot, I captured a few images of her lying on her parents' bed after being changed and swaddled, but my favorites are always the snuggle variety! Like this one of C. and her mom. This image is probably my favorite from the entire shoot.

Affordable Castle Rock Newborn Photographer

Had me a snuggle session this week! This is Emrynn!! And she was just 6 days old for her newborn shoot and she was awake the whole time! So, here's a fun fact! Emrynn's mom is my daughter's BFF! And yes, it is a bit difficult to wrap my head around the fact that Taylor is a real life mom! But that doesn't mean that I am not absolutely thrilled for Taylor and Ty. They have embarked on one of life's best adventures and Emrynn is as cute and sweet as they come! A big congrats to our friends, Larry and Coreena!! Emrynn is their first granddaughter (they have two super cute grand boys and another granddaughter on the way). 

Tips for your own snuggle newborn session:

- Reserve your session with your due date

- Plan your wardrobe before the baby is born (warm cozy fabrics make for bestest photos)

- Consider what you want your baby to wear. Keeping it simple is best.

Lifestyle In Home Newborn Photographer in Castle Rock, Co

 On Monday, I got to meet Cora. She is 1 month old! She was also 1 month early! 

My newborn shoots are done at home and focus on simple and beautiful images of mom and dad with their new baby. 

Things I learn on this shoot:

They have a beautiful malamute named Heidi, who has a lovely singing voice but it a bit shy. 

There is another dog, but he or she is not visitor friend so they sent time in the basement. 

Olivia is huge fan of horror movies and actually has a collection of horror themed candles, which are displayed and not burned. 

She is also a Disney fan and looks forward to taking Cora to Disneyland/world, when she is old enough to remember and appreciate it. 

Cody is killing it in the dad department, had mom's back, changed a diaper, made a bottle, happily took on baby soothing, and was super comfortable with all the things baby. 

Super happy for this new party of 3!
