Baby Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Okay, I can not say enough about the cuteness of this little baby girl!  She is just so squishable!

Linley is one of my milestone babies and today was her 3 month shoot.  You can take a peek at her newborn shoot here http://3wishesphotography.blogspot.com/2011/01/baby-photographer-in-parker-co.html

Mama calls her "peacock" with that fluffy tuft of hair it's perfect!  She's perfect!  Just precious!  (Yes... I could go on and on but I am trying to restrain myself!)

Over the weekend, we had a party here for my niece and her fiance', one of my girlfriends was flipping through some old photo albums of mine, a couple of nights ago I found myself reminiscing over the pictures of my first born, Melia.  So many memories and emotions flooded back.  I remembered holding her through a whole nap because I just couldn't get enough of her.  Yep... it made me want to have another one, but I'm afraid I may be too old at this point, that and Rod would have a bloody heart attack.

So, I will enjoy these sweet little cherubs that find their way into my viewfinder.  Tomorrow I will finally see my little Andrew, I can't wait to see him show off his walkin' skills!!  (Cathy, remember how hard we worked to get him to fall asleep at his newborn session?!? and now he's WALKING!)  Do I have the best job or WHAT?!?  So very blessed... Family Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Well... I am up to it again, staying up way too late and then being dead dog tired the next day!!  I must stop this... tomorrow or I guess today since today has already turned into yesterday and tomorrow is today!  I was happy to get back behind the camera today, I took last week off to spend Spring break with my girlies and my shoot on Monday had to be rescheduled to Thursday because of the weather.  But today I was with the Sanford family.  Many many moons ago, I was Cody's Sunday school teacher when he was in the 2nd grade, he told me he is 20 now, YIKES! He must have been a very old second grader!  Oh and another bit of interesting trivia, turns out Kellie is Selah's neighbor (who is Selah?  the owner of Nomelie's Cupcakes, just the best cupcake shop ever, sorry Pastor Brian but Nomelie's really is the best!)

Well, I am going to sign off and go tuck in for the night, morning will be here far too soon, it's carpool and then a visit for a 3 month old cherub!  Until next time!!! Cija

Infant Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting Miss E... now let's just get right to my fave of the day, with out a doubt it is the one above, I LOVE this photo!!  There are so many possible captions to put with this sweet little look.  Like... "I wonder what we are having for lunch?"
"Are they done yet?"
"To nap or not to nap..."
Here she is singin' a little tune, I told her mom she was going to have a great voice when she gets older, she had this fabulous little rasp to it.  I predict... "The Next American Idol".
And it wouldn't be Cija with out the feet... I just love feet!!  Especially that kibble little toes!
At the end of our shoot it was cuddle time with mama, such hard work desires a little pamperin'.
A close 2nd for my fave of the day... look at that yummy red hair!  Oh! She's just too cute!
Singer-songwriter with those long fingers she is destine to play guitar or piano.

Well there you have it...  Miss E's sneak peek!  Such a cutie patootie! So, this is going to be it for a few days,  I am official taking a "spring break" to be with my girls.  We are gonna have ourselves a good time.  I'll be back in a week with little Andrew, a family shoot and one of my milestone babies!!
Remember to send in your nominations for a free shoot!! The first drawing will be on April 1st.
See you on the other side!!  Cija

Giving Back

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!  No matter how much I say I'm going to be prepared this silly day always manages to sneak up on me.  You see in a moment of weakness I started these "traditions" that my kids have come to expect!  I thought maybe they had forgotten or maybe it wasn't that big of a deal but this morning they were listing all the fun they expected when they get home from school!  So my afternoon will include writing and hiding clues for a treasure hunt, printing pictures of Leperchauns and going to the store for green milkshake ingrediants.  But never mind that...

So a week or so ago I asked you to thinking about people you might know that are going through a difficult time.  Do you know a family that has been stuck by cancer or perhaps they have been victim of a tragic accident?  Since starting my business, I have been so blessed to be able to meet some precious families who were facing some terrible life giants.  First there was Ellie, a 3 year old diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Ellie is 5 years old now and Praise the Lord, is currently in remission!!
Next, I met Mike a husband and father of 3 little boys,  Mike was just starting his battle with cancer and wanted to get some pictures done for his wife.  The last time I spoke with Mike's wife she said that he was "doing very well".
About year ago, this precious little boy fell from a 3 story window, I can not tell you how honored I felt being allowed to photograph this little boy during the most frightening time of his life.  Little Joshua is doing just GREAT!!!  And it just makes me smile every time I see his cute little face in the hallways at church.  Thank you, Jesus!

This past fall, I got to meet Melissa and her sweet family.  Also fighting a battle with cancer, in late November she reported "each scan has shown dramatic regression of the tumor sizes"... I continue to pray for her full recovery.
God has richly blessed my photography business and I want to show my deep appreciation by giving back in some small way.  So... here's the plan.  Send me an email at cija@3wishesphotography.com and nominate a family, who facing their own giant, for a free photo session.  I will be drawing a winner each month between January and August.

Family Photography in Castle Rock, CO

Happy Friday!  We just got home from the Comedy Works (date night!!), it was pretty funny.  I wanted to make sure and get this post up, I promised Stephanie that her sneak peek would be up today and I am going to slide in with just a couple of hours to spare.  So, this is the family of 3 that I mentioned last week that I had to reschedule due to coo-coo weather day, but it was a good decision because yesterday was GEE-oregus.  Cooper just celebrated his 2nd birthday!!!  WooHoo!!  Happy Birthday Cooper!  I had a really fun time with this family and Cooper is such a fun little guy!

So... fave of the day is going to be another rough one today.  I love the B&W below, he looks so cute just trek out into the great unknown...

But I also love this one (below)... now I don't remember the exact details but there were fruit snacks involved and here he was very disappointed with how they would be allocated. I just love that little pouty face!
Cooper was being a little stingy with the smiles, so... I had to pull out the big guns (no, I am not telling... I can't give all my secrets away!! but it's fool proof, even works on grown ups!)
See what I mean?
Well, I hope you all have a great weekend.  I will be wedding dress shopping with my niece, all the live long day tomorrow!!  SOOOO EXCITED!  See ya next week!

Boudoir Photography in Castle Rock, CO

NOTE: While I offer full service Boudoir photography I do not post any of my "more delicate" work in this public forum, to see a private boudoir gallery please contact me at cija@3wishesphotography.com.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do another boudoir shoot... an anniversary gift (18 years WOOHOO!!).  My "boudoir buddy", Tina (that is officially her new nick name, I think we should get her a monogramed T-Shirt), came over to do hair and make up, she's FABULOUS!  In fact, I liked Dawn's makeup so much I'm sportin' it today!  The three of us had a great time, so much fun, laughing and just enjoying the moment.  We put a rush on Dawn's turn around time because today is the only time she will have the house to herself to work on the photobook she is making for her husband.  She dropped by this morning to pick up her pictures and gave me the following card.  I cracked up laughing... looks like the pooch is having a little boudoir shoot of her own!!!
But what really touched me were the words written inside and I wanted to share just a few of them with you...  "Cija, It's been a long time since I've felt this beautiful. Thank you... with love and appreciation. Dawn".

"I have summoned you by name; you are mine."
"You are precious and honored in my sight, I love you."
"Bring my daughters... whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."
Love Notes from God found in Isaiah 43

I'll be back tomorrow with the Kelly Family.  Hugs Cija

Children's Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Yesterday, the girls didn't have school and there was this cool fog outside so I decided to seize the moment and take some pictures of my girlies.  Such beautiful faces... such beautiful girls.  I am so blessed.  We are so blessed. Thank you, Jesus for our precious girls.  It was quite chilly but we brought a down comforter along to snuggle in while waiting and the tractor digging the great big hole provided entertainment.
