Mini Shoots in Castle Rock, CO

Well, I am back. It's been a full two months with our shooting! For those of you that don't know, I got pretty sick back in April and ended up in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Since then I have been recouperating at home. I am still on oxygen but the Lord saw fit to hook me up with a portable converter when the insurance company and oxygen company were making it nearly impossible. 

So, yesterday's mini shoot (20 minutes, M-F mornings, 1 person) with Luke was the perfect way to give my lungs and the portable oxygen a test drive. 

Luke graduated this May after 3 years of varsity baseball, so the field and the school were the perfect backdrop for his photos. Alright, go ahead and have a look.

High School Senior Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

 I got to take Parker's senior photos this morning. So crazy... my clearest memories of Parker are of him as a toddler! He and my daughter, Melia were in Sunday School together! Now look at him! All grown up. It was a beautiful morning for a shoot, the weather was awesome, lighting was a wee bit challenging but I love the final look. Thanks, Parker! It was fun!

High School Senior Photos in Castle Rock, CO

Time for another sneak peek, this time it's Caleigh. She is a 2019 at Rock Canyon. Plans for next year include college back east where she hopes to study criminal forensics and psychology. 

We had a 2-part shoot, a little in the park and a little at the pool!

Senior Pictures in Parker, CO

Cynthia is a 2017 senior at Chaparral High School.

I had the BEST time on this shoot, even my hubby said "Looked like you were having fun out there tonight."  And he was absolutely right.

I have been taking photos for Cynthia's family for several years now, but was still shocked when I got the call about senior pictures!

As for after high school, she would like to attend an out of state college (mom, of course, is hoping for in state) where she wants to study the law, in hopes of being a defense attorney someday.

I tried to pitch D.U., they have a great law school but...

they don't have a softball team.  (HA! did you catch that, I tried to "pitch"... oh the wittiness!)

Check out the talent... throwing and catching a softball with out looking!

"Make today ridiculously amazing!" I just loved that!

After her formal pics it was time to hit the softball field for some softball photos.

Yep... she's a pitcher.  Pretty cool!

High School Senior Pictures in Parker, CO

 Ummm… So this shoot was really fun!  

This is my second time working with a dancer and I think I am in love.

 Do you think there is a market for a "Dance Photographer"????

Because WOW! It's just so much fun!

 This is Maddie, a 2016 Senior from Ponderosa High School.

She has been dancing since she was 2!! And has been doing Point for 3 years now. 

 The Highland's Ranch Mansion was the perfect place to do her shoot!! 

 Love this "jumping photo"  and the way the tutu is… humph, what's the word?!?

I don't have a word, I just like the way it looks!

 After the dance photos it was time for the more classic senior photos.

 Although… I thought all her outfits were ballerina-esck!

 Look at the pretty bling on that shirt! Totally something a ballerina would wear.

 Ummm.  I really really love these two shots of her!

 Oh!  And she doesn't just dance she plays the clarinet!

I tooted on a clarinet, myself… in the long time, far away, can barely remember it,  past!

 Of course, I was wearing knee highs and head gear so… not quite as glamorous!

 So Maddie is leaning towards UNC, where she plans to study nursing.
