Family Photography in Castle Pines, CO

Woke up early, so I thought I would go ahead and get Dave & Lisa's sneak peek up on the blog.
I met Dave and Lisa a couple of years back with they started attending our church.
And this weekend Lisa was hoping to get some family photos done while her son Cody was in town on leave from the Navy.  Thanks Cody!!!  We all appreciate what you do to keep our country safe and to help people all over the globe!

Kelsey and her hubby, Robbie joined us as well.  Shoots like this make me wonder where my girls will end up and how precious family photos will be when we get together.
Good old father and son photo, I loved how, when they sat down that sat exactly alike!!!

Ah… and love this mommy and daughter photo!!
Now the one above is a re-creation of a childhood photo,
I just wish I had the childhood one to put on here!!!
I absolutely love this photo… I just love how happy Lisa looks and it melts my heart the way she put her head on Cody's shoulder.  These are the things that I love about photography, capturing those truly precious moments. Now… off to church!  Remember Jesus LOVE YOU!!!

Family Photographer in Castle Pines, CO

Just popping in for a sneak peek  before we start our school day.  This is Ellery and her beautiful family.  Turns out I met Ellery at a birthday party that are kiddos were at, many moons ago.  Sometimes that world really does feel so small.
My goodness have we had some excellent weather for photo shoots lately!
and I was lovin' this beautiful sunshine, filtering thru the trees.

And this is one location that has killer fall color already!!

Okay the picture below is one of my faves, but a video of them walking to this particular location would have totally explained why!  Let's just say they ALL have quite a catwalk!

Okay… I want one of these family photos for my house!

Beautiful shoot with a beautiful family!!

Family Photographer in Castle Pines, CO

Ah HA! I am back on schedule!!  Nevermind that we hasn't started school yet!!  I will get to that next!
But last night I was with my very cool friend, Marybeth and her fabulous family.
She has 3 lovely ladies, just like me!
And check out those outfits!  I am a sucker for layering!!
It was another perfect Colorado night for picture taking!! And we are just starting to see the peeks of fall color!!
If I had a fireplace, this is the picture I could put over it.  I especially love how Marybeth scarf shows in the back… when I grow up, I want to be just like her!

They did this all by themselves… one of my faces.
Canvas in the bedroom, people!!

So much fun!  Now… time for school!

Family Photographer in Lonetree, CO

Ack!!  The full weight of the fall schedule is hitting me and I am a day late with this sneak peek, please forgive me Kristy!!  But on Saturday evening I met up with Chris & Kristy for their bi-annual (wait does that mean every other year) family shoot.
I about had a heart attack when I pulled in the parking lot and there were like 50 cars!! and then I saw 100+ people down by the barn.  Apparently a bunch a parents got together and decided they would get their high schoolers together for homecoming photos.  It was total mayhem!
But we went with it and made it work and by the time we made our way to the barn they were all gone.   So let talk kiddos.
First we have Ally...
 Then Brady….
and the oldest of the group… Charlie.
I am a little distracted tonight… I am sad for my mommy.  Her dog, Misty (only 7 years) is very sick and her kidneys are failing, she is not going to make it and my mom is devastated.  She has had a very difficult year, my dad passing away in January, the selling of the home they lived in for 45 years and moving in with sister meant letting go of so many of her personal belongings. Add to that, chronic pain in her back that has drastically limited her mobility and taken away her freedom to drive.
I was praying for her tonight on the way to my shoot and prayed that Jesus would show himself to her through all of this in a way that she has never experienced him before.  As I prayed, I pictured him scooping her up in his arms and holding her close, an image that moved me to tears.
Such a loving Savior..
 Okay… snapping back.
So I may have told the boys to "TICKLE!!!"
I love this shot!!!
 Such a gorgeous sky!!!

Now… I may have added to my list of lawlessness!!
No dogs allowed!!
But it couldn't be helped!  Lucky had to join us for one last shot!
Time to boogie!
