Happy Monday! Just dropping by for a little peek at my shoot from Saturday. Kendall, Lauren and Ethan booked an extended shoot for their mom's birthday! Excellent idea! I haven't met a mom yet that doesn't love being gifted family photos. We did all the things: the whole group, individual families, all the girls, all the guys, you name it we did it and all before 8:30AM! Thanks everyone! and Happy Birthday, Trina!!

Maternity and Newborn Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

 I told Melanie I am only doing in-home maternity session from now on! I may have exaggerated a wee little bit, but I love these images so much. And you just can't do this kind of stuff out in the woods. But if it were up to me, this is the kind of maternity sessions I would like to focus on. Now picture recreating some of these with baby vs. bump. STOP! Oh my heart. This shoot was extra special because I have know Melanie since she was 6 months old. Her mom and I are lifers. Meaning we do LIFE together... all the parts good, bad, happy, sad - all of it! Over the years, Melanie has found her own special place in my heart and not to rub it in but I knew she was pregnant before her mom did!!! Sorry Ann, sometimes the truth hurts! It meant so much to me that Mel and John asked me to take these photos from them. Love you guys!!

Sometimes I forget how much I really do love photography. It can be mentally exhausting, always doubting yourself, comparing yourself to others and wondering if you are good enough. 

But then I say a prayer and get back out there. I meet the client and the images start coming. My mind fills with images I want to capture and the kind of light I want to use to make those images come to life. 

I had the best time with Reagan. A storm blew in and out and left us with gobs of delicious sunshine. We had a lot of fun, scoping out the perfect puddles of light and filling them with Reagan's beautiful smile!

Kid's Photography in Castle Rock, CO

 It is hard to believe that Braxton is 10. 

This year hit different! Maybe it's the hair but he just seemed so grown up this year. I have taken his pictures every year since he was TWO!

He had lots of ideas this year, he has always been up for having pictures taken, so his shoots are always fun and easy! 

And... even though we choose this more urban location, he still managed to find a tree to climb! Yes! I got pictures!!

He always get such a kick out of the walking photos!!

He really is the BEST!! I always look forward to his sessions!!
