This is my beautiful niece, Crystal, her husband, Scott and their sweet little boy, 

Xander Kasen.

Who was born on Monday morning at 8lb, 4oz. 

He's Perfect!

And we are all pretty smitten. 

 My very talented sister crocheted this adorable giraffe hat and snugglie. 

I like to think that Crystal and I have a special relationship we have been palling around since she was wee little one, I have endless memories of the two of us together and I couldn't be more proud of the woman she has become. 

 My daughter, Melia and her son, Xander are the same age difference as Crystal and I and I hope that they will have an equally sweet relationship. 

 Is it just me or is the baby GORGEOUS?

Oh! and kudos to my baby girl for Crystal's beautiful make up!!! 

Crystal wasn't prepared to have her photos taken, so at the last minute Melia stepped in to give Crystal a little pampering. 

 Well, you two... I am so happy for you!  Welcome to the greatest adventure ever!

Oh my gosh, I just keep staring at this picture of Crystal and Xander... I love it soo much!

So on Monday I had the opportunity to take some lifestyle photos for my dear friend, Bethanee and her amazing family.

I had the very best time!!!

 Their son recently had some major surgery on his knees so he is spending a few months recovering so an outdoor photoshoot was not an option, so we opted for an in home shoot instead. 

 And Bethanee was willing to embrace a more lifestyle approach. 

 So... they cuddled together, read some books, played some cards and opened some Christmas treats while I looked on with my camera. 

 I love these images so much!!

I would jump at the opportunity to take some of my own family.

I am afraid I can't dottle as I became a Great Aunt again this morning and I need to get over to that hospital and meet my new great niece or nephew!

But let's just say it was a beautiful day to take picture of a beautiful family...

On Saturday afternoon, Rod and I escaped and met up with Elle & Clara.

 Yes.. they brought mom and dad along!

 So we snapped a few shots with them...

But the real stars of the show were Elle & Clara!

 LOVE the hats!!  (and way to go mom, boots, hats, gloves = happy girls!!)

 I could have taken their pictures all the live long day!

 Mostly because of their adorableness!!

 And we even had some trace amounts of snow from Thursday's brief storm!

Can I just say this was one of the funniest and most entertaining shoots I have been on in a long time. 

 Here's just a sample of the fun one can expect on a shoot with 4 brothers!

Ryanne talked about all the "funny stuff they did" at dinner later that night. 

 I got say... it's pretty awesome seeing brothers having such a good time together.

 and I love that their very cool mom let them sport their sport's gear!
