Happy Monday!  And it is truly happy because... the wind is not blowing!!!  I can not tell you how happy that makes me! Especially since I have a family shoot this evening, wind with one person is okay, but 4?!?  No way!

 See... it was super windy during Madeline's 9 month shoot but it really didn't bother us all that much.  Look at those little piggies!!!  I just love 'em!  I am a firm believer in bare piggies!

 So many precious faces... 

 Isn't it a shame that arms like that are only cute when you are a baby...  She was crackin' me up,

she was loving' the dirt even took a few bites!  Babies are too much fun!

Oh man... I just got a text from my girlfriend their puppy (just a few months old) "Yoda" was hit by a car and didn't make it.  Please be praying for their girls they have had so much heartache over the last several years, I am sure they are struggling with "why?" and desperate for a break.  It comforts me to know that even a man like John the Baptist was confused and wondered what God was up to or not up to sometimes, like when he was in prison and he sent his disciples to see Jesus.  "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?"  At one time he was so sure, he even saw a dove descend out of heaven but now he was thinking maybe he was wrong.  I love that Jesus doesn't get frustrated with John, He offers reassurance and tells Him that those who remain faithful in spite of what He does or doesn't do will be blessed.  We certainly do not understand the mysteries of God,  I am praying for all the heavy hearts today.  May you feel the loving arms of Christ hold you tight while you cry.  Blessings Cija

 This pretty little girl is... Joelle and she is documenting her 1st Birthday!!  Happy Birthday!!  What a sweet little thing she is!  Just as happy and content as can be. 

 She was absolutely fascinated by the fallen pine needles, I just love how littles explore their surroundings, they don't miss the wonder in any of God's work.  I can learn alot for this little ones for sure!

 SO BIG!!!  a baby classic, I wonder what would happen is I asked my girls "How big is______?"  I think I'm gonna try it just for fun!!  I can already hear Ryanne "Maahmmm" (insert tone and rolling eyes).

 She just looks like a little GAP model!! 

 I am equally excited because today is Rod's birthday!!!  I just love birthdays or any day that calls for celebration!  We woke up to hand made cards and a book that Melia, Sabrina and Ryanne made, the most precious part is, they did it 100% on their own, no prompting from mom at all.  Melia told me "we all decided to get up early to make stuff for dad."  So Sweet!!!

 So... I am going to cut this short because I just came up with a fabulous idea!!  I am going to make my own special card, with a Cija twist!  Why????? do I always get these hair brained ideas at the last minute?!?!

Infant Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado

 Finally!!!  Andrew and I were able to get together for his 1 Year pictures!  I just love the way he has his little fingers crossed in the picture above, I get down right giddy when I catch little things like that, in the years to come it will be fun for his parents to look back and remember how he used to do that.

 Andrew was certainly on the move so we had to get creative, in the photo above he was busy emptying his diaper bag... all those nice clean outfits ended up in the dirt, oh well, he was havin' fun!

 Oh my goodness, that face!!  I just love that little face!!!  And the bum is pretty cute too!

 We had ourselves some serious fun playing "peek-a-boo"!!  We would say "go hide!" and he would scoot behind the tire of this tractor and peek out at us!  He thought he was pretty clever!

 So yesterday was the first "Giving Back" drawing, I would ask that you would join me in praying for Chris's dad who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, in addition please be praying for the family as they walk through these very difficult days.  So many families have been and are being effected by this terrible disease, my heart breaks for each of them.  

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!  Sabrina and I kicked ours off a bit early with "ditch day"!!  Oh my, did we have fun!  IHOP for pancakes, mani's and pedi's (she got green apple tiger stripes!), pottery painting, time and Timbuk's, orange chicken at Panda's, yummy cupcakes from Nomelie's for dessert and then we played at the park!  Do we know how to party or what?!?!  Until next week!!  Cija

Baby Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

 Okay, I can not say enough about the cuteness of this little baby girl!  She is just so squishable!

 Mama calls her "peacock" with that fluffy tuft of hair it's perfect!  She's perfect!  Just precious!  (Yes... I could go on and on but I am trying to restrain myself!)

Over the weekend, we had a party here for my niece and her fiance', one of my girlfriends was flipping through some old photo albums of mine, a couple of nights ago I found myself reminiscing over the pictures of my first born, Melia.  So many memories and emotions flooded back.  I remembered holding her through a whole nap because I just couldn't get enough of her.  Yep... it made me want to have another one, but I'm afraid I may be too old at this point, that and Rod would have a bloody heart attack. 

 

So, I will enjoy these sweet little cherubs that find their way into my viewfinder.  Tomorrow I will finally see my little Andrew, I can't wait to see him show off his walkin' skills!!  (Cathy, remember how hard we worked to get him to fall asleep at his newborn session?!? and now he's WALKING!)  Do I have the best job or WHAT?!?  So very blessed... Family Photographer in Castle Rock, CO

Well... I am up to it again, staying up way too late and then being dead dog tired the next day!!  I must stop this... tomorrow or I guess today since today has already turned into yesterday and tomorrow is today!  I was happy to get back behind the camera today, I took last week off to spend Spring break with my girlies and my shoot on Monday had to be rescheduled to Thursday because of the weather.  But today I was with the Sanford family.  Many many moons ago, I was Cody's Sunday school teacher when he was in the 2nd grade, he told me he is 20 now, YIKES! He must have been a very old second grader!  Oh and another bit of interesting trivia, turns out Kellie is Selah's neighbor (who is Selah?  the owner of Nomelie's Cupcakes, just the best cupcake shop ever, sorry Pastor Brian but Nomelie's really is the best!)

Well, I am going to sign off and go tuck in for the night, morning will be here far too soon, it's carpool and then a visit for a 3 month old cherub!  Until next time!!! Cija
